Following the AGM, here is all the information you need to get your tennis season started.
Your committee for the coming year: Jill Dixon (Chair), Liz Griffiths (Secretary), Andrew Lorenc (Treasurer/Membership), Corinne Gimber (Welfare Officer), Sarah Forde, Jenni Gates, Paul Harradine and Sue Norman.
Subscriptions have been kept at 2018 rates, so represent fantastic value for money. There will however be a small charge for private use of floodlights. Tokens may be purchased at £1 each from Paul Harradine on 07912 513415.
Dates for your diary:
1 April: Membership subscriptions due. Andrew will be sending out reminders, inviting you to renew your membership promptly. Please take the time to make sure all the information the club holds about you is correct.
Thursday 9 May: Adult coaching course with Ollie Sharpe will start. 2/3 groups depending on numbers/ability. 6 week course, cost £30. Register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org . Ollie can also arrange private coaching on Sunday morning – details are on the website www.lympstonetc.co.uk
Saturday 27 April: Sign up morning for Junior Coaching, 9.30-11.30am. Come and meet our new coach, Tom Kinch, and sign up for 8 weeks of coaching on Saturday mornings. Enquiries to email@example.com
Saturday 27 April (afternoon): Club afternoon is an Open Session, where we welcome visitors to join us and see what the club has to offer. Please could members bring along something to share for tea? Do invite relatives, friends and neighbours. The Wimbledon Ballot will take place during the tea break. If you have opted in to the Ballot through the LTA, all you need to do to be included is to make sure you have paid your membership subs.
Tuesday 21 May: Triples Tournament with Pimms. If you’ve never tried Triples before, it’s great fun and suitable for all levels of player. No need to get a team, we’ll do that for you on the night. Entry £1 per person.
Tuesday 25 June: Doubles Tournament with BBQ. More details nearer the time but please save the date.
